Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 Powered Smartphones Tipped to Launch This Month in November 2025; In India by December 2025
We have already seen the debut of many smartphones powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip over the last two months and now, a new update has arrived claiming that we’ll be able to see the launch of Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 powered smartphones this month. In the Indian market, the launch is expected by next month.

Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 Powered Smartphones – Coming Soon?
This update comes from the tipster @heyitsyogesh and as per his X post, this month in November 2025, the smartphone market will be able to witness the launch of new smartphone models equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chip. However, for Indian customers, the first Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 smartphone is said to arrive by December 2025. Furthermore, the tipster notes that in terms of performance, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chip will be a bit lower when compared with the previous Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, and it is designed for gaming and upper mid-range devices.
OnePlus had officially teased the arrival of its Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 powered smartphone back in September 2025, and the tipster adds that iQOO or Vivo, Honor, Motorola, as well as Xiaomi have smartphone models with the same chip onboard in works and we might soon be able to witness the launch of these devices over the next two months. About the pricing, the tipster mentions that per unit, the cost will range from USD 160 ~ USD 180.
Regarding the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 smartphones, a few of them include the Xiaomi 17 series, Redmi K90 Pro Max, iQOO 15, RedMagic 11 Pro series, Nubia Z80 Ultra, Realme GT 8 Pro, Honor Magic 8 series, OnePlus 15, and more. All these have been made available in China, while a few of them have been introduced/scheduled to be introduced globally.
