Oppo Pad 5 Matte Display Edition 5G and WiFi-only variants spotted on the BIS database; India launch seems imminent

The rumour mill has been buzzing lately with the updates of the Oppo Pad 5 Matte Display Edition, as the tablet has been spotted on various global certification websites, hinting at the imminent global launch of the device.

The tablet is said to arrive with two variants- 5G (OPD2503) and WiFi-only (OPD2502). Both the variants have now made it to the BIS certification website, confirming the launch of Oppo Pad 5 Matte Display Edition in India (via @Sudhanshu1414).

The tipster has also shared some of the specs of this upcoming device. The tablet is said to be powered by MediaTek Dimensity 9400+ SoC paired with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 3.1 or UFS 4.1 storage. It is said to sport a 12.1-inch LCD display that offers 3000×2120 resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. The device could be backed by a 10,420 mAh battery and may support 67W fast charging via a USB 3.2 Gen 1 port. It may run on ColorOS 16 based on Android 16.

Coming to the previous updates. Oppo Pad 5 Matte Display Edition 5G and WiFi-only variants have been spotted on SIRIM and IMDA databases, while the 5G variant has also made its appearance on the WiFi Alliance database.
