Apple iPhone 17 Series Actual Battery Capacities Revealed Via Chinese Regulatory Platform
We are just a day away from Apple’s next iPhone 17 series expected launch and ahead of it, a new update has revealed the actual battery capacities that will be offered on the next generation iPhones, In comparison to the previous generation models that came out last year in 2024, the upcoming iPhone 17 series smartphones are going to be offering larger battery capacities.

Apple iPhone 17 Series – Revealed Battery Capacities
As already known, Apple will be introducing the iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Air, iPhone 17 Pro, and the iPhone 17 Pro Max smartphone models under its iPhone 17 series. The actual battery capacities that will be offered on the iPhone 17 series have been revealed via China’s regulatory database and the latest generation iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max will be equipped with larger batteries this time.
Apple’s standard iPhone 17 has been listed with a battery (model number – ‘PSMT4’) carrying a rated capacity of 3692 mAh. The iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max are both listed with two batteries each, probably for different markets. For the iPhone 17 Pro, batteries (model numbers – ‘S2225’ and ‘2226A’) with rated capacities of 3988 mAh and 4252 mAh have been listed, whereas for the iPhone 17 Pro Max, 4823 mAh and 5088 mAh rated capacity batteries are revealed (model numbers – ‘PSMU8’/’NA295’ and ‘PSMY9’/’NA293’). Replacing the plus model, Apple will be introducing a slim form factor smartphone this time with the moniker – ‘iPhone 17 Air’, and it is listed with rated battery capacities of 3036 mAh and 3149 mAh (model numbers – ‘S2228’ and ‘108CS’/’2228A’).
Tomorrow on the 9th of September 2025, Apple will be officially conducting its ‘Awe Dropping’ event and apart from the iPhone 17 series, the brand is believed to also unveil the AirPods Pro 3, Watch 11 series, Watch Ultra 3, and Watch SE devices too on the same day itself.
