SpaceX Falcon 9 launches 27 Starlink satellites to Orbit from Florida

This morning, a Falcon 9 rocket carrying 27 broadband internet satellites lifted off from Space Launch Complex 40 at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida.

It is revealed that the new additions for SpaceX’s mega constellation (Group 10-34) reached low Earth orbit about 0 minutes after they left the round and went on track to be deployed 50 minutes later. In the interim, the Falcon rocket’s first stage (booster B1092) flew back to the droneship ‘A Shortfall of Gravitas’ safely touching down for the fifth time. This booster has previously launched CRS-32, NROL-69, GPS III-7, and a Starlink mission. You can check out the live launch video posted by the company.

SpaceX has also confirmed the deployment of 27 Starlink satellites via the X platform. The launch occurred on the 10-year anniversary of a SpaceX rocket explosion following liftoff from Florida’s Space Coast.

Apart from this launch, SpaceX has also scheduled a second mission for today at 12:47 PM EDT (1643 GMT) to send 26 more relay satellites from Space Launch Complex-41E at Vandenberg Space Force Base in California.
