The Honor 80 and the Honor 80 Pro has been Launched with a 160MP Camera Unit: Here’s What We Know

On the 2nd day of the launch event in China, Honor launched its new smartphones, the Honor 80 and the Honor 80 Pro which feature a 160 MP main camera along with Qualcomm chipsets and OLED screens.

Honor 80 

The Honor 80 has a curved OLED display with a screen size of 6.67″ and a screen resolution of 2400×1080 pixels. It also has a refresh rate of 120 Hz.

The smartphone has a 32MP punch-hole selfie camera along with a 160MP rear camera.

The device is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 782G chipset

The Honor 80 has the Android 12-based MagicOS 7 custom user interface.

It also has a battery backup of 4800 mAh with a 66W fast charging feature.

Honor 80 Pro

The Honor 80 Pro was the best smartphone in the series with a 6.78″ curved OLED display and a screen resolution of 2700×1224 pixels. The device also has 120 Hz. refresh rate.

On the front, the Honor 80 Pro features a 50MP + 2MP pill-shaped camera along with a 160MP main camera on the rear.

The Honor 80 Pro is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset with a primary clock speed of 3.0 GHz.

Just like the Honor 80, the Honor 80 Pro is also having the MagicOS 7 custom user interface which is based on the Android 12 operating system.

It also has a battery backup of the same 4800 mAh and supports 66W fast charging like the Honor 80.

Price

In China, the Honor 80 starts at a price of CNY 2,699 (about $377) and the Honor 80 Pro starts at a price of CNY 3,499 (about $490)

Honor had also launched the Honor 80 SE along with the Honor 80 and Honor 80 Pro. The Honor 80 SE is the cheapest in the series with a starting price of CNY 2,399 (about $335).

The Honor 80 SE features a 64 MP main camera unlike the Honor 80 and Honor 80 Pro. It has a 32MP front camera for selfies. Honor SE also features a 6.67-inch OLED display with a refresh rate of 120 Hz.

The device is powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 900 chipset and has a battery backup of 4600 mAh which supports fast charging of upto 66W.

Pre-orders for the smartphones have started today in China and the open sales for the smartphones are scheduled for December 9, 2022.
