Why Boycott Qatar Airways in trending on Twitter

Twitter is surging with tweets with the hashtag Boycott Qatar Airways. It is swelling on the social networking site after the statement made by official spokesperson Arindam Bagchi of the Ministry of External Affairs. He has expressed deep concern over the recent comments made by the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation on Twitter.

In a matter of hours, there is another tweet made by Mr. Arindam Bagchi in response to the tweet by the Pakistani Prime Minister. Mr. Bagchi said, ” The absurdity of a serial violator of minority rights commenting on the treatment of minorities in another nation is not lost on anyone. The world has witness to the systematic persecution of minorities including Hindus, Sikhs, Christians and Ahmadiyyas by Pakistan.”

Soon after the incident, Twitter started gushing with conflicted tweets raising arguments among people of both India and the Gulf countries. The hashtag, boycott Qatar airways to boycott Qatar trends started in no time and started flooding twitter leaving a mark on people’s sentiment

Whether the recent incident of the BJP suspending two of their official spokespersons over the anti-muslim remarks on a television debate, created a wildfire among the party people is also a matter of question.
