True Indology sued Twitter for wrongful suspension, Anand Ranganathan points out court’s inefficiency

On Monday, Swarajya Columnist Anand Ranganathan takes on Twitter to reveal the court’s ineffectiveness towards the case of True Indology’s Twitter account being wrongfully suspended.

He said that True Indology sued Twitter for wrongful suspension on January 23. On Jan 31, the court asked Twitter to respond. Twitter pled for time.

Anand further said that the court’s hearing was adjourned to March 30 and then later on to April 28, May 17, and July 18. Today it was again adjourned to August 17.

“On Jan 23, 2022, True Indology sued @Twitter for wrongful suspension. On Jan 31, the court asked Twitter to respond. Twitter pleaded for time. Hearing was adjourned to Mar 30. Then to Apr 28. Then to May 17. Then to Jul 18. And today it was adjourned to Aug 17. Tareek pe tareek,” the columnist tweeted.

According to OpIndia, On 18 November 2020, the Twitter account of ‘True Indology’, an activist and social media commentator, had been suspended again arbitrarily. Twitter barred TrueIndology from posting tweets after suspending the account. So far, the reasons for the suspension are not known.

The person behind the account is a meticulous fact-checker who corrects wrong and distorted claims often pushed as history mostly by left-liberals and cites actual sources to debunk myths and leftist propaganda on Indian history,” a source as per OpIndia.
