Sar Tan Se Judha Controversy : Dead body of an engineering student found on railway track in Bhopal

On Monday, A third-year engineering student, Nishank Rathore was found dead on the railway tracks near Obaidullaganj town in the Raisen district of Madhya Pradesh.

Before his death Nishank’s father, Uma Shankar Rathore received a Whatsapp message that read, “Gustakh-e-Nabi ki ek saza, sar tan sey judaa.”

He had received the message on Sunday evening at 5:44 pm. After reading the message, he tried to find his son who was a student at the Oriental College in Bhopal.

Nishank was missing from his hostel room and later on, his dead body was found on the railway tracks.

IG Suri told India Today TV, “We have traced his movements through CCTV cameras right from the time he left his room in Bhopal. At 5.09 pm he was spotted at a petrol pump and he was not accompanied by anyone. The post-mortem has revealed that he died because of coming before a moving train.”

Police after registering the case sent the body for post-mortem. Nishank was a native of SeoniMalwa Tehsil in Narmadapuram, around 120 km from Bhopal. He had come to Bhopal to pursue his Bachelor of Engineering degree.
