Sim the founder of Creative Technology and youngest billionaire of Singapore died peacefully on 4th Jan 2023
Singapore’s first techpreneur Sim Wong Hoo who gave the PC a voice died on 4 Jan 2023. This sad news came to light through the Creative Board of directors in a Singapore Exchange filing. Though they have not revealed the cause of his demise said he died peacefully.
He was 67 years old and gave some fabulous technology to the world. Sim founded the Creative Technology company in 1981 and since it has been founded company is working tirelessly to revolutionize the world of computer gaming and sound.
His revolutionary ideas made him the youngest billionaire in Singapore when he launched Sound Blaster audio cards. Creative Technology also launched a Zen MP3 Player in 2000 which was ahead of Apple’s iPod launch. One of the reasons that Creatives Technology has been ahead of other companies under the leadership of Sim is their large investment in research and development. The investment paid off when they came into the market with exemplary technology of Super Xi-Fi Spatial Holography groundbreaking audio technology that recreates a high-end multi speakers surround system in headphones format.
