“I have defeated Apple’s New Lockdown Mode” says Security Researcher Jonathan Scott on Twitter

On Twitter, a security researcher named Jonathan Scott on Thursday made a statement that Apple’s New Lockdown Mode can also be hacked very easily.

He said that he will publish his report soon. He was also surprised by the expert mobile security engineers who didn’t care to audit the NSO spyware killer feature before endorsing it.

“I have defeated Apple’s New Lockdown Mode as of Thursday July 7th,2022. I will publish my report shortly. I’m surprised the “expert mobile security” engineers @citizenlab didn’t care to audit the “NSO spyware killer” feature before endorsing it. #lockdownmode, the hacker tweeted.

In another tweet, he also said that he informed everyone to expect the lockdown mode to be hacked, and unfortunately, it was one of the easiest hacks yet.

“I told everyone to expect lockdown mode to be hacked and alas it was one of the easiest hacks yet,” Scott tweeted.

He further tweets that the lack of testing and validation of this feature which was meant to stop NSO’s pegasus is clearly a propagandistic move by Apple and Citizen Lab.

“The lack of testing and validation of this “feature” meant to stop NSO’s Pegasus is clearly a propagandistic move by @Apple and @citizenlab,” he tweeted.
