Samsung officially launches 3D Map View Feature based on SmartThings and AI

The South Korean tech giant Samsung unveiled it’s 3D Map View Feature at CES 2024 and today the company has officially launched this feature in all the countries with SmartThings access. Initially this feature was rolled out in Korea and United States but now it is available in all the countries.

It can be accessed through SmarThings app on Android and iOS mobile devices as well as TVs while the company has also announced that the controls for the feature will also be made available through additional hubs such as Family Hub refrigerators within the first half of the year.

It streamlines home management by turning real floor plans into virtual images in the SmartThings app. Users can clearly see their devices and conveniently adjust lightning, temperature, air quality, temperature, air quality and energy consumption at any time and place.

This feature shows users their entire home at a glance and updates in real time as more devices are connected. This newly updated 3D Map View takes advantage of Spatial AI in Samsung devices like Bespoke Jet Bot using LIDAR sensors in the device to precisely measure and map a home’s layout which will easily help users understand  the shape and spatial conditions of their homes on 3D maps.

The filter function is also enhanced with this feature that allows more efficient monitoring and control of required devices while it will also offer a more customized and user friendly smart service by using AI characters.
