These OPPO Smartphones May Not Receive the ColorOS 14 Update

Leading smartphone makers are already in the works to release their next custom UIs based on the Android 14 operating system, which is expected to be made available soon as the stable version and reports have already revealed OPPO’s plan of launching the next ColorOS 14 custom UI.

We had recently shared a list of OPPO smartphones that are to receive the next ColorOS 14 update based on the Android 14 operating system and this will be a list of OPPO smartphones that are likely not to receive the ColorOS 14 update.

OPPO Smartphones Likely Ineligible to Receive ColorOS 14

The Chinese smartphone maker, OPPO back in 2021 announced that the brand will be offering 3 OS updates to its Find X series smartphones, 2 OS updates to its Reno and F series devices, and 1 OS update to its A series devices. Again the brand came back in recent years to announce that OPPO flagship smartphones to be launched starting in 2023 will be receiving 4 years of OS updates.

As a proper list of OPPO smartphones that are ineligible to receive the next ColorOS 14 update is not available, this list has been prepared based on the assumption made with the OS update policy that has been announced by the brand.

Amongst the A series of OPPO, as of now, there are only six devices confirmed to receive the update amongst which, the oldest is the OPPO A96. Unlike what is stated, the smartphone which initially arrived with the Android 11 operating system has been updated to the Android 13 operating system with its name on the list to receive the ColorOS 14 update based on Android 14. Most likely A series smartphone launched before that might not receive the ColorOS 14 update.

Regarding the Reno and F series devices, the oldest devices currently on the list are the OPPO Reno5 Z 5G and OPPO F19 smartphones. Some smartphones launched ahead of that won’t receive the latest update.

Now coming to OPPO’s Find flagship series, the Find X5 series devices are the oldest Find series devices on the list. It is likely that most of the Find series smartphones launched after 2020 will be receiving the ColorOS 14 update and those which were launched before that may probably not receive the update.

As mentioned above, this article is just based on assumptions and also based on OPPO’s ColorOS update policy. There may occur changes in it and the exact list can only be confirmed with official updates.
