First things first, this latest update for the Realme GT 2 Pro device as it is a beta version will carry both known and unknown issues, but will give its users in India a chance to experience the Realme UI 5.0 custom skin.

About the changelogs, all the usual beta features will be offered. This includes the improvements that will be brought to system stability, launch speed of apps, and also the smoothness of animations; an upgraded Aquamorphic design offering a much more comfortable color experience, added Aquamorphic-themed ringtones, and revamped system notification sounds; improved photo & video permission management system; more widget recommendations to improve Shelf; and also a File Dock feature that lets users drag and drop content between different apps and devices. A carbon tracking AOD is also a part of the beta update.

Regarding the known issues, while using floating windows, users may find that sliding the desktop won’t work properly. They just have to pull down the status bar to fix it. The Glance lock screen won’t be present in this beta version but will be added later with further updates.

How to Apply?

Interested candidates can apply for the open beta update by visiting the software update application channel in “Settings”, after enabling the Developer mode. Users before applying should also make sure that their device is running on the latest stable version of Realme UI, and there is at least 60% battery charge left. As mentioned, the application channel is open, but the application will only be accepted in batches.

Feedback concerning any issues or bugs that were encountered after updating can be submitted via the smartphone’s logkit. To add, rolling back to the previous stable version is also possible and for this, users will have to download the zip package from the respective Realme server and then locally install it.
