Alphabet Inc.’s Google, the California-based tech company, has brought several of its new features that are currently available on the latest Pixel Watch 2 to its 1st generation Pixel Watch device. It will include new workout tracking options, Fitbit Relax app, and public transit directions.

Google’s 1st Gen Pixel Watch New Features
Firstly about the new workout tracking options, the Pace Training feature will allow Pixel Watch users to set a goal pace for an exercise session. With the help of the inbuilt GPS and motion sensors, users can easily know whether they are outside their target pace or not. When paired with the Pixel Buds Pro device, haptics and voice cues can also be received.
Heart Zone Training feature is also now available on the Pixel Watch and will let users monitor the time they spend for their personal heart zones. They will thus be able to optimize and receive guidance for their workout based on the resting heart rate and fitness levels. Personal targets along with haptic notifications and voice alerts can also be set while moving from one heart rate zone to another.
Other new tracking features are the revamped workout user interface with larger texts and brighter colors, and the auto-start and auto-stop functions that detects and monitors workout sessions automatically.
The Fitbit Relax app will also be brought to the 1st gen Pixel Watch and this will allow users to calm their body and mind through guided breathing exercises. Users will also be getting public transit directions right on their wrist with Google Maps on Wear OS. Different transit options, real time departure time, and the compass-enabled map view will guide them to their destination. If the user has a LTE version of the Pixel Watch, they can start directly from the watch, otherwise start from the connected phone and further directions will be displayed on the watch.
