Get to know all about new iOS 16.3 that’s likely to come next week

Next week is going to be a surprising week for Apple iPhone users because iOS 16.3 will be available to iPhone users. It will bring a few new features and enhancements to iPhone customers around the world. This news came to light when Apple was announcing new Apple Watch bands in which Apple said new iOS 16.3 will be available next week.

If we talk about the things that would be different from iOS 16.2, so iOS 16.3 is mainly going to focus on bug fixation. It will also support security keys for Apple IDs and tweaked wording for Emergency SOS in settings. Its ability to use security keys is to protect your Apple ID and iCloud account. Reports have suggested many reasons to use security keys in iOS 16.3 and among them, one is that security keys will replace the passcodes sent to your iPhone when logging into another device.

Security keys are nothing but hardware-based tokens that people use for two-factor authentication. In addition to the password that you will add you will have to add at least one other factor which can be a hardware key or biometrics. This two-factor authentication is the result of the aims of the FIDO alliance. Global security advisors have found to sight that two-factor authentication is the gold standard of security.
