Twitter can go for selling username to generate new revenue

Musk is trying very hard to generate revenue through Twitter since he has overtaken it. And now the reports suggest that Twitter can go for selling user names to generate new revenue. Internal reports have suggested that Twitter employees have held talks about selling some usernames since December.

For this, they may look forbidding of usernames that are words, numbers, and strings of characters followed by @ sign. Though even after this report it’s unclear whether it would affect all user names or just a few. Musk wants to make Twitter more active than ever before and for that, he wants to start eliminating inactive 1.5 billion usernames.

Musk wants to make Twitter an all-rounder app like WeChat, a Chinese app where users order, chat, share and get news. But the issue is that Musk is under pressure to make his purchase of $44 billion a successful purchase. Selling usernames can help to revive Twitter but still, the news is not clear.
