Right After Launch, OnePlus Nord 6 Gets Its First Update With March 2026 Security Patch, Multiple Timers Support, “Automatically Open Received Files” Switch, and More

The Chinese smartphone maker – OnePlus, has now announced the rollout of the OxygenOS 16.0.5.701 update for its recently-launched OnePlus Nord 6 smartphone, and notably, this marks the device’s first software update following its debut. As per the announcement page, the update is being rolled out in both the Indian and global markets, and along with the March 2026 Android security patch, it also brings a few new feature additions for users.

OnePlus Nord 6 – OxygenOS 16.0.5.701 Update
This latest OxygenOS 16.0.5.701 update for the OnePlus Nord 6 is being rolled out with the firmware versions ‘CPH2793_16.0.5.701(EX01)’ for Indian users and ‘CPH2795_16.0.5.701(EX01)’ for global users, respectively.
Speaking of this update, support for setting multiple timers simultaneously has been added, and users can now also view estimated stop times for each timer.
Along with this, the Content Portal now supports app clones as well, and a new “Automatically open received files” switch has also been added.
Looking into the changelog further, these newly-added features are the same that OnePlus had rolled out to several of its other smartphones last month.
