Google has updated its YouTube app on iOS devices, which is the company’s first update since December. There have been speculations that google has stalled or delayed its updates on iOS apps to step aside Apple’s rigid privacy policies. Google in it’s defend stated it wasn’t the case.
However, The last update on iOS 15.49.6 version of YouTube’s was on December 7. The latest launched on February 13. Further in the release/update description states, “Fixed bugs, improved performance, drank way too much coffee,”
The company said “As Google’s iOS apps are updated with new features or to fix bugs, you’ll see updates to our app page listings that include the new App Privacy Details. These labels represent the maximum categories of data that could be collected—meaning if you use every available feature and service in the app,”
