On August 10, Samsung conducted its most recent Unpacked presentation to introduce new significant goods. The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 and Z Fold 4 were the company’s latest folding smartphones that stole the show at the presentation.
The Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 CPU and a foldable screen are two hardware aspects that both devices share, but other than that, they differ greatly.
Starting with the appearance, the Flip range features a clamshell design, whereas the Fold lineup has a form factor more akin to a book. The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 and Z Fold 4 have folding displays that measure 6.7′′ and 7.6′′, respectively.
The camera part has some more variations. Along with a 10 MP front camera, the new Flip 4 has a dual-rear camera system with a 12 MP primary sensor and a 12 MP ultra-wide sensor.
The Fold 4, on the other hand, improves on the competition with a triple camera system that includes two front cameras, a 12 MP ultra-wide sensor, a 10 MP telephoto sensor, and a 50 MP primary sensor (10 MP sensor on the external screen and a 4 MP sensor on the folding screen).
The Galaxy Z Flip 4 cell’s battery capacity increases to 3,300 mAh (the Flip 3’s battery capacity was 3,300 mAh), and its quick charge increases to 25W (before 15W).
However, the Fold 4 is more cautious, keeping the same battery and quick charging.
support (4,400 mAh with 25W fast charging) as its predecessor.
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Z Flip 4 software updates
Both devices ship with Android 12 out of the box, but the Galaxy Fold 4 also has Android 12L. On foldable devices, the later version of Android has extra capabilities to increase productivity.
Because the Galaxy Z Flip 4’s unfurled screen looks so much like a conventional smartphone, it does not support Android 12L. The Galaxy Z Fold 4 display type, meanwhile, opens up a lot more options.
For instance, the Galaxy Z Fold 4 enables you to run more programmes in several resizable windows simultaneously. In addition to other features, the major programmes are accessible quickly from a bottom dock.
