Samsung officially introduces it’s industry-first 256GB SD Express microSD card

The South Korean tech giant Samsung is widely famous among consumers for introducing gadgets and smartphones with hi-tech features while it is also known to introduce new innovative technologies in it’s devices to make the user experience easy and fun. Today the tech giant company has introduced industry’s first high performance microSD card that is based on SD Express interface- 256GB SD Express microSD card

Here’s all you need to know about 256GB SD Express microSD card

This microSD card offers performance equivalent to SSDs in a small form factor. It arrives with low power design as well as firmware technology optimized for high-performance and thermal management. It boosts read speeds to 985MB/s and sequential read speed up to 800MB/s. It is 1.4x faster than SATA SSDs and 4x faster than UHS-1 memory cards.

It is equipped with Dynamic Thermal Guard (DTG) technology for stable performance and reliability.As officially announced by the company, 256GB SD Express microSD card will be made available for purchase later this year. Apart from this, Samsung has also announced to launch 1TB UHS-1 microSD card within the third quarter of this year.

It is said that with the introduction of it’s next generation microSD card line up, Samsung aims to provide differentiated memory solutions required for tomorrow’s mobile computing and on-device AI applications.
