India is now producing the iPhone 14! The first iPhone 14 made in India will be available to customers here soon, according to Apple. At the “Far Out” event on September 7, Apple CEO Tim Cook presented the newest iPhone 14 lineup, which included four models: the iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Plus, iPhone 14 Pro, and iPhone 14 Pro Max. In India and the rest of the world, the sale has already begun as of September 16. Following China, the United States is now Apple’s second-largest smartphone market. Within a few weeks of its release, iPhone 14 production began in India, which is a significant victory for Apple. Previously, it was believed that shifting manufacturing out of China would be a very difficult and long-drawn process.

India has beaten China by convincing Apple to produce the iPhone 14 in India, which is a huge accomplishment.

In a statement to PTI, Apple stated, “We’re thrilled to be manufacturing the iPhone 14 in India.” The new iPhone 14 series features ground-breaking new technologies and crucial safety capabilities, “the Apple spokeswoman continued. According to the source, local buyers will begin receiving the iPhone 14 made in India in the coming days. The iPhone 14 will be produced in India for both the domestic market and for export. It will be delivered from the Foxconn facility in Sriperumbudur, which is located outside of Chennai.

Not only that, but a recent JP Morgan study on the migration of Apple’s supply chain claimed that Apple may move about 5% of the manufacture of the iPhone 14 to India later in 2022. Furthermore, it is anticipated to increase to 25% by 2025. Following the current trade conflict between the US and China, South Asian nations like India, Vietnam, and Thailand have emerged as prime locales for the iPhone’s manufacturing.

Given that Apple’s revenue there more than doubled in the three months ending in June 2022, the Indian market is proving to be the iPhone maker’s sweet spot. It’s interesting to note that analyst Ming-Chi Kuo previously projected that production of the iPhone 15 series would begin concurrently in China and India.
