The Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 is set to launch on November 15, 2022. This generation of the chipsets will be called Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 Mobile Platform as mentioned in the last year’s launch.

Here’s what we know

The Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 is going to be launched at the Snapdragon Summit in Hawaii which is an event that takes place every year and a time when the company reveals its flagship Snapdragon processors.

Usually, the program takes place in the month of December. This time for some reason the Annual summit is set to be held on the 15th – 17th of November.

Thus most likely we’ll see the launch of the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 on the first day of the Annual Summit itself, that is on 15th November.

According to some reports, the latest chipset will include Arm’s new Cortex-X3 core, three Cortex-A510 cores, and four Cortex-A715 cores.

The chipset is supposedly also going to address the issue of power efficiency which was there in the previous generation chipset.

As of now the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 will be there in the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S23 series. Some other phones which are going to have the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset are:

  • Xiaomi 13 Series
