Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 variants, screen sizes tipped

Samsung is expected to hold its next major launch event in August this year. The event will see the arrival of the Galaxy Z Fold 5, the Galaxy Z Flip 5, and the Galaxy Tab S9 series of tablets. It is also expected to announce the Galaxy Watch 6 series of smartwatches at the same event. A couple of months before the expected launch, Chinese tipster Ice Universe has claimed that the Galaxy Watch 6 will arrive in two sizes. He has leaked key details about both variants.

The Galaxy Watch 5 was made available in 40mm and 44mm sizes. The new leak reveals that the Watch 6 will also arrive in the same sizes. The 46mm Galaxy Watch 6 will feature a 1.47-inch display with a resolution of 480 x 480 pixels, which is an upgrade from its predecessor, the Galaxy Watch 5, which had a 1.4-inch display with a resolution of 450 x 450 pixels.

Meanwhile, the smaller 40mm Galaxy Watch 6 will have a 1.31-inch display with a resolution of 432 x 432 pixels, compared to the Watch 5’s 1.2-inch display with a resolution of 396 x 396 pixels.

A previous leak claimed that the 44mm variant will pack a 425mAh battery. The Watch 6 series is also expected to include the Galaxy Watch 6 Pro, but the tipster did not share any information about it.
