Redmi 12C spotted at NBTC, BIS; Global and India launch seems imminent

The Redmi 12C was announced in China at the end of December 2022. Given that the NBTC and BIS authorities recently certified it, it appears that its global launch could be imminent.

In the NBTC’s database, the Redmi 12C has appeared with 22120RN86G. Last week, the Indian version of the Redmi 12C with model numbers 22120RN86I and 22120RN86H was spotted at India’s BIS authority.

To recall, the same device was approved by Singapore’s IMDA authority in December 2022 and also by the TKDN Indonesian certification platform in November 2022. Now that the device has received multiple certifications, it appears that it may debut as early as this month (February) in the global market and India.

Redmi 12C specifications

The Redmi 12C has a 6.71-inch IPS LCD HD+ display with a 60Hz refresh rate. It is powered by the Helio G85 chipset. The Chinese edition of the phone offers up to 6GB of RAM and up to 128GB of storage. The phone runs on the Android 13 OS, which is overlaid with MIUI 13.

The Redmi 12C has 50-megapixel dual rear cameras and a 5-megapixel front camera. It has a 5,000mAh battery with 10W charging support. The rear shell of the device features a fingerprint sensor.
