Apple has reportedly paused the development of its foldable smartphone due to unsatisfactory results

Cupertino-based tech giant is reportedly working on a new category of smartphone that is foldable smartphones and tablets. This has not come from an official announcement but from a Weibo user named Fixed Digital Focus(translated from Chinese).

As per the user Apple purchased several foldable smartphones from different brands for dismantling. This was reportedly done for the research and development by the company. Tipster further added in a post that the project has now been stopped due to unsatisfactory results from the screen test.

A number of aspects make it hard to develop a foldable smartphone though display is a major aspect of it. And if the recent post is true Apple won’t release a foldable smartphone in the near future.

Reports have earlier said that the company is reportedly working on a foldable smartphone with a display size of 7.6 to 8.4 inches. This is larger than any of the foldable smartphones available in the market, bigger enough that someone can even say it iPad Mini for now.
