ASUS ROG Maximus Z790 Formula Motherboard Now Available for $749.99 in US
ASUS, the Taiwanese tech company, announced the ROG Maximus Z790 Formula motherboard last month, in October 2023, and the device is now available on the brand’s official US ROG website for purchase.

About the ROG Maximus Z790 Formula Motherboard
The ROG Maximus Z790 Formula motherboard from ASUS features an Intel LGA 1700 socket ready for Intel Core 14th and 13th gen processors, and Intel Core 12th Gen, Pentium Gold, and Celeron processors. It also comes with 20+1+2 teamed power stages with dual ProCool II power connectors, alloy chokes of high quality, and durable capacitors, which will support multi-core processors. It also has optimized VRM thermals to reduce the heating.
Memory support includes an onboard PCIe 5.0 M.2 slot and four PCIe 4.0 M.2 slots. Connectivity ports include two Thunderbolt 4 USB Type-C ports, a USB Type-C front-panel connector(20Gbps, Quick Charge 4, up to 60W, & USB Wattage Watcher), six additional USB ports(10Gbps), two PCIe 5.0 x16 SafeSlots, and an HDMI 2.1 port.
Speaking of its other connectivity support, it has the Intel Wi-Fi 7 modem onboard and Realtek 5 Gb Ethernet with ASUS LANGuard. ASUS has also integrated features like the ASUS AI Overclocking, AI Cooling II, AI Networking, Two-Way AI Noise Cancellation, AEMP II, and DIMM Flex. The mother also features a DIY-friendly design with PCIe Slot Q-Release, M.2 Q-Latch, Q-Antenna, pre-mounted I/O shield, Q-Code, Q-LED, FlexKey button, Start button, BIOS FlashBack button, and Clear CMOS button.
From the personalization or customization side, users will be provided with 2″ LiveDash OLED, three addressable Gen 2 headers, and one RGB header. They are all configurable with ASUS Aura Sync RGB lighting. The motherboard also supports ROG SupremeFX ALC4082 codec with ESS ES9218 Quad DAC for up to 32-bit/384 kHz playback.
ASUS has also bundled its ROG Maximus Z790 Formula motherboard with a 9-month Intel Unison subscription, a year’s AIDA64 Extreme trial subscription, and an intuitive UEFI BIOS dashboard with integrated MemTest86v.
