NEO Home Robot now available for pre-order; Will start shipping next year in US

NEO Home Robot- a humanoid robot created by 1X is finally set to make its entry in the market. The company has officially announced that the humanoid robot is now available for pre-orders.

NEO Home Robot: Pre-order started

The robot can be pre-ordered on 1X’s website for $20,000 or $499/month subscription. Purchasing the robot required a $200 deposit. The $20,000 price tag comes with priority delivery, premium support, and a 3-year warranty. US deliveries will start in 2026. It comes in Blue, Beige, and Black color options.

NEO Home Robot: Features

NEO Home Robot weighs 66lbs and height 5′ 6″. It is equipped with 842 Wh and offers 4 hours of run time. The hands come with an IP68 rating, and the body comes with an IP44 rating. The robot is powered by a 1X NEO Cortex chipset. It features four beamforming mics, a 3-stage speaker in the pelvis and chest area, and a dual 8.85MP 90Hz stereo fisheye camera. It supports 5, WiFi, and Bluetooth connectivity.

The robot takes on the boring and mundane tasks around the house so you can focus on what matters to you. It provides assistance with everyday tasks, automates household chores, and brings useful insight into every conversation. It works autonomously by default. For any chore it doesn’t know, you can schedule a 1X Expert to guide it, helping NEO learn while getting it done.

It comes with an emotive earring, tendon-driven actuators, cozy design, and a Knit Suit. NEO’s hardware is wrapped in a custom 3D lattice polymer for safety and cushioning. NEO’s soft suit and shoes are made available from machine-washable nylon. Users can ask NEO questions and get instant access to knowledge, personalized intelligence, or even a joke. Interactions with the robot are driven by its built-in large language model, capable of understanding, reasoning, and conversing. With the NEO app, you can manage your NEO’s chore schedule, communicate remotely, monitor NEO, and more. When NEO needs a charge, it plugs itself in.
