The smartphone industry is witnessing price hikes almost every day from various smartphone brands, and reports suggest that this situation will continue next year as well due to high demand and a shortage in supply of memory chips.
The South Korean tech giant Samsung has now announced a price hike for its flagship Galaxy S25 5G smartphone in India.
Galaxy S25 5G: Price hike in India
The Galaxy S25 5G 12/256GB variant has received a price hike of Rs 4K and is listed at Rs 84,999 instead of Rs 80,999. Meanwhile, the 12/512GB variant has received a massive Rs 12K price hike and is listed at Rs 1,04,999 instead of Rs 92,999.

The new prices are effective from today onwards in the market.
Brands like Vivo, Oppo, Realme, OnePlus, Apple and Google have also announced price hikes for their smartphones in the past few months for Indian as well as global markets. You can check out the details here.
In related news, it was reported last month that Qualcomm is also planning a double-digit price increase and the new pricing was said to come into effect on products shipped after September 1. This news suggested that the prices for smartphones might further increase in the future.
