12 countries confirms 92 Monkeypox cases, it may spread globally: WHO

92 Monkeypox cases have been confirmed in 12countries till date.

Monkeypox is basically a Zoonosis – a virus which is transmitted in humans through animals.

The WHO (Word Health Organization) warns that this virus is going to spread in more nation’s even if it expands observation.

Which 12 countries?

The 12 countries includes, US, Canada, Australia, UK, Spain, Germany, Portugal, Belgium, France, the Netherlands, Italy and Sweden.

As per reports of May 21, the laboratory have confirmed 92 Monkeypox cases

and 28 cases are suspected with investigation ongoing.

No deaths is been recorded till now but

Monkeypox is mostly found in west and Central Africa

but now it is spreading in various countries, which concerns the public.

The people infected with this virus have no connection with the infected country

and nor have they travelled in those countries, confirms WHO.

The observation in non-infected countries is expanding as we keep testing because

this virus is very contagious and it spreads via human to human physical contact, informs WHO.

The people who are infected by Monkeypox, suffer from mild fever and mild bumpy rashes on the skin, WHO added.

As per reports, men’s who had sexual contact with mens are the one who are infected.

Most probably the bisexual, gay or men’s who have sex with men are highly infected, at risk

and hence to get the curbs in control, the Health Security Agency advised those community people to be alert.

The WHO is also working to provide safety measures to frontline health workers and cleaners who are at risk during infection.

Although this virus is less severe, prevention is better than cure.
