US congress to soon ban TikTok on government devices

TikTok is a Chinese social media platform that has been already banned in many countries for the accusation of spying and stealing users’ data. Now the US congress can also look as if are unhappy with the app.

As per reports on Tuesday, the US House of Representatives administration announced to ban on installing the app on US government devices. This step has been taken forward due to the increasing number of high securities issues.

It has been asked to government officials to uninstall the app from their devices. However, there aren’t any restrictions on regular users from using TikTok

A few years ago the ban on TikTok was also announced by Donald Trump which never took place till now.

The parent company of TikTok, ByteDance, has also revealed that some of its workers in China have access to information on the app’s American users. These people according to the company are subject to a variety of sophisticated cybersecurity controls and authorized approval mechanisms.
