Zoom – 2011

Zoom was founded by Eric Yuan and he himself is the CEO of the company. After the Covid-19 pandemic, there was a significant boom in the number of Zoom users making it one of the widely downloaded applications in the world.

Uber – 2009

Travis Kalanik and Garret Camp founded Uber in 2009 making it easy to check the availability and book taxis online. Dara Khosrowshahi is the current CEO of Uber.

Twitter – 2006

The microblogging platform, Twitter took its existence in 2006 and was founded by Jack Dorsey, Noah Glass, Evan Williams and Biz Stone. The company is now owned by Elon Musk and he is the current CEO of the company.

Facebook – 2004

Mark Zuckerberg, Andrew McCollum, Chris Hughes, Eduardo Saverin and Dustin Moskovitz are the co-founders of Facebook. The social media platform was founded in 2004 and ever since then is used world wide by users of all age groups. Mark Zuckerberg is the current CEO of Facebook.

Tesla – 2003

Tesla took its existence in 2003 and was co-founded by Elon Musk, Martin Eberhard, JB Straubel, Marc Tarpenning and Ian Wright. Elon Musk, one of the co-founder of Twitter, is the CEO of the company.

SpaceX 2002

Elon Musk and Tom Mueller together founded SpaceX in 2002. In the recent years, SpaceX has made some significant successes in the field of rocket manufacturing with the CEO, Elon Musk taking full charge of its endeavours.

Google – 1998

Google was founded by Larry Page and Sergey Brin in 1998. The company is managed and run under Sundar Pichai who is the current CEO of the company.

Netflix – 1997

Reed Hastings and Marc Randolph together founded Netflix in 1997. The streaming platform started its online subscription in 1999 and now has become an integral part for our entertainments. Ted Sarandos and Reed Hastings are the current CEOs of the company.

Amazon – 1994

Amazon was founded in 1994 by Jeff Bezos. The e-commerce platform is world famous shipping tons of items on a daily basis to its customers. Andy Jassy serves his role as the CEO of the company.

Apple – 1976

Apple took its existence in 1976 and was founded by Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak, both college dropouts. With the vision Steve Jobs saw, Apple has become one of the leading smartphone brand in the world with so other products as well. Tim Cook is the current CEO of the company. 

Microsoft – 1975

Bill Gates and Paul Allen are the founders of Microsoft. The company took its existence in 1975 with its first product, the Altair BASIC. The current CEO of the company is Satya Nadella.

Starbucks – 1971

Starbucks was founded in 1971 by its co-founders Gordon Bowker, Zev Siegl and Jerry Baldwin. Howard Schultz and Laxman Narasimhan are the current CEOs of the company.

Nike – 1964

The world famous shoe brand, Nike took its existence in 1964 and was founded by Phil Knight and Bill Bowerman. The company responsibilities are now being taken care of by John Donahoe, who is the current CEO of the company.

Sony – 1946

The co-founders of Sony, Akio Morita and Masaru Ibuka founded the company in 1946. The company currently sells products which includes, mobile phones, cameras, televisions, music systems, gaming consoles and software, batteries, semiconductors, and few other electronic components. Currently, Kenichiro Yoshida works of the company as its CEO.

Samsung – 1938

Kim Ki Nam, Koh Dong-Jin and Kim Hyun Suk are the CEOs of the company. The company has all sorts of electronic devices just like Sony and was founded in 1938 by Lee Byung-chul

UPS – 1907

The logistics company, UPS took its existence in 1907 and was founded by James E. Casey. Carol B. Tomé is the current CEO of the company.

Ford – 1903

Ford was founded by Henry Ford in 1903 and has taken its place as a world famous automobile manufacturer. Jim Farley is the current CEO of the company.

Nintendo – 1889

Fusajiro Yamauchi founded Nintendo in 1889 and the company has achieved a significant place in the gaming world. The company’s current CEO is Shuntaro Furukawa.

Nokia – 1865

Nokia is the oldest company among all the companies we saw till now and was founded in 1865 by Fredrik Idestam, Leo Mechelin and Eduardo Polón. Pekka Lundmark is the current CEO of the company.
