The e-Rupi vouchers have now been added to the BHIM app and are available to redeem at any time the user sees fit.
The e-Rupi voucher was launched in August 2021 and earlier it could only be used as a one-time voucher. However, the Central Bank of India recently raised the limit of e-RUPI Digital vouchers that are issued by the government. The Reserve Bank of India later, increased the maximum limit of e-RUPI vouchers from Rs 10000 to Rs 1 lakh.
e-RUPI is a digital voucher that a user gets on the phone in the form of an SMS or QR code. It is a pre-paid voucher, which he/she can go and redeem at any center that accepts it. Multiple uses of single vouchers can also be done till the balance is exhausted.
Steps by which you can redeem your e-Rupi Voucher:-
- Step 1: Show the e-RUPI QR code or SMS at the service provider outlet
- Step 2: The salesperson requires to scan this QR code or SMS.
- 3rd Step:- You will receive an OTP.
- Step 4:- Share the OTP with whoever you want to pay.
- Step 5:- The service provider enters this OTP into the OTP box.
After clicking on the proceed option, the payment will be made to the service provider.
