YouTube Brings Five New Features to Help Creators Improve the Video Experience on Big TV Screens

Google’s YouTube has now rolled out five new features aimed to enhance the premium viewing experience on big TV screens. Content creators will be able to rely on these to improve their videos and deliver them at the best quality.
Check out more about these latest features below.
Five New Features Brought Out for YouTube Content Creators
First among the new features is the increased thumbnail file size limit. From 2MB, it has now been increased to 50MB. This means creators won’t have to compress and upload their thumbnails, but can add it at even better quality and larger size.
The AI-powered SD content upscaling to HD (1080p resolution) is the next and thanks to which, users won’t have to invest in an expensive TV from now on. Both the original and enhanced resolution content will be there at the hands of creators, and they will be offered the option for opt-outs (creator-side and viewer-side opt-outs). In the future, up to 4K video enhancing capability can also be expected.
Another impressive feature is the previews on the homepage of YouTube channels. These will bring an immersive experience within the homepage of the users’ favorite channels, and they will be able to glimpse through recent or most notable content(s) before actually watching them.
The contextual search is another key feature and on TVs, when searching for a creator’s content, users will be able to find it prioritized at the top, leaving no room for distractions or any other contents.
Purchasing via tagged shopping videos are happening a lot on YouTube and to further improve this experience, shopping QR code has also been brought for TV, which users can scan using their phones and then directly land on the product page.

YouTube also plans to bring even more features to the platform for content creators, and this is to make sure that their videos are good on all screens.
Stay tuned for more updates.
