Instagram Reportedly Testing Auto Scroll Feature for Reels

Recently, Instagram introduced the ability to share Spotify songs with sound in Stories and to customise Notes. Now, it appears that Instagram is testing a new feature called Auto Scroll, which automatically scrolls through reels instead of requiring users to swipe manually. This functions in a similar way to what we see on X and other platforms.
Several users have shared screenshots of this feature on X (formerly Twitter). However, Instagram has not officially announced the Auto Scroll feature for Reels, and it currently appears to be in a testing phase. As a result, only a limited group of users has access to it. The update allows users to watch reels hands‑free, with the feature automatically moving to the next reel once the current one finishes.
In a post on X, a user explained that the Auto Scroll feature can be enabled by tapping the three‑dot menu on any reel and selecting “Auto Scroll.” Once activated, it will automatically scroll to the next reel when the current video has finished playing.

This feature is expected to provide a smoother viewing experience. Users can enable or disable it at any time through the same menu. Since Instagram has not officially announced it, there is no confirmed date for when the feature will be widely available. I also checked on my own account and, despite trying all possible troubleshooting steps, I was unable to find this feature. It seems that, like many others, I will have to wait until the update is rolled out.
