Samsung Officially Releases its Exynos 2500 Chip: To be Used in the Galaxy Z Flip 7 Smartphone

The South Korean tech maker – Samsung is expected to unveil its next Galaxy Z Flip 7 smartphone next month in July 2025 and this device is already revealed to use the brand’s own Exynos 2500 chip for all of its versions. Now, this latest Exynos 2500 chip has been officially released.

Exynos 2500 Chip – Officially Released
Samsung’s Exynos 2500 chip is the brand’s first chip made using the 3nm GAA (Gate All Around) process technology, and it is a deca-core processor. Its core architecture consists of a Cortex X5 core clocked at 3.3 GHz, two Cortex A725 cores clocked at 2.74 GHz, five Cortex A725 cores clocked at 2.36 GHz, and two Cortex A520 cores clocked at 1.8 GHz. The chip is also integrated with the Samsung Xclipse 950 GPU (4th generation). Coming to its capabilities, notably, 15% faster CPU performance (multi-core), 39% faster NPU, as well as 28% faster frame rate for gaming (hardware-accelerated ray- tracing) are its performance-related features.
Speaking more, it supports both LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage, along with other specs like 4K/WQUXGA display with 120Hz refresh rate; camera features like 320MP Max single camera, 108MP at 30fps single camera, and 64MP + 32MP dual camera; video features like 8K at 30fps video encoding and 8K at 60fps video decoding; and HEVC (H.265), VP9, and AVI codecs. In terms of the modem, 5G NR Sub-6GHz offers download speed of 9.64 Gbps and upload speed of 2.55 Gbps; 5G NR mmWave offers download speed of 12.1 Gbps and upload speed of 3.67 Gbps; LTE Cat.24 8CA offers 3 Gbps download and Cat.22 4CA offers 422 Mbps upload speed. Direct satellite connectivity is also one among its key specs, in addition to the GNSS, WiFi 7, Bluetooth v5.4, NFC, and USB Type-C 3.2 port connectivity supports.

As mentioned above, Samsung is expected to bring the Exynos 2500 chip first onto the latest Galaxy Z Flip 7 smartphone that is believed to break its cover next month at a possible Galaxy Unpacked event, along with the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and other latest products. Also, the mass production of the Exynos 2500 chip is currently ongoing.
