Nothing teases the upcoming Phone (4a) series; Headphone (a) also incoming

Nothing is back with its cryptic Pokémon teasers, and this time they not only hint at the launch of the Nothing Phone (4a) series but also suggest that a new pair of headphones could be announced alongside it.

Here is more to it.

Nothing Phone (4a) Teasers

To start with, the first teaser shared by Nothing featured two Pokémon — Bellsprout and Hoppip. Bellsprout carries the National Pokédex number #0069, which is widely believed to hint at the Nothing Phone (4a) series. Meanwhile, Hoppip has the Pokédex number #0187.

About a week earlier, a report from the publication Dealabs stated that Nothing is working on a new product called Headphone (a). While the report did not mention any model number, the presence of a second Pokémon in the teaser has led to speculation that Hoppip could be pointing towards the Headphone (a) B187,possibly carrying the model number B187.

Dealabs further mentioned that the Headphone (a) is expected to be available in Black, Pink, White, and Yellow colour options. The headphones are said to launch on March 12, with pre-orders possibly starting on March 5 with a price a tag of €159.

In another teaser shared by Nothing on X, a set of coloured dots forming the letter “(a)” can be seen, once again hinting at the Phone (4a) series. These dots appear in black, white, blue, pink, and yellow colours, which could indicate the colour options expected for the Phone (4a) series or the upcoming Headphone (a).

As for specifications, the Nothing Phone (4a) is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 SoC and feature UFS 3.1 storage. The standard Phone (4a) model was previously spotted on the TDRA database, while the alleged Phone (4a) Pro appeared on the EPREL certification platform. The EPREL listing revealed that the device may come with a 5,080mAh rated battery, support 50W fast wired charging, feature a USB Type-C port, and carry an IP65 rating.

Regarding the launch timeline, a tipster had earlier suggested that the Phone (4a) series could launch around March 5. However, considering the reported pre-order date for the Headphone (a), it is possible that March 5 could mark the pre-order phase, with both products being announced together.

As of now, there is no confirmation on whether these devices will launch in India.
