Virat Kohli injured, not seen in practice session?

Indian batter Virat Kohli has reportedly suffered a groin injury and now the player is set to miss the opener in the ODI series against England on 12 July.

Virat did not come for optional practice today ahead of the first ODI match at the Kennington Oval in London. The player also did not travel from Nottingham to London in the team bus. Reason being must be due to medical assessment by the physio’s and medical team.

In the remaining Test match and the recently held T20I series, Kohli again failed to gain momentum and a string of low scores continues for the former Indian captain.

The Indian team currently is flooded by many options in the middle order, and if Virat fails to get a big one in upcoming time, there will be no doubt that he will be dropped from the T20I side.

With the ODI series starting, it was a great opportunity for Virat Kohli to go out there and answer a good one with the bat to the critics, but now with his groin injury, things are not on the bright side for the King.

Moreover, it’s been nearly three years since he has scored his last international ton.
