Shuban Gill parts ways with IPL champs Gujarat Titans

The ‘Emerging Player of the Year’ in the previous edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) has now parted ways with Gujarat Titans. The opening batter had an amazing time with the current IPL champs as he contributed to help the new franchise lift their maiden IPL trophy.

Moreover, he recently also got to his maiden international ton for India, he has been in the best form as an opener.

The Gujarat Titans official twitter page announced Gill’s departure, “It’s been a journey to remember. We wish you all the best for your next endeavour.”

It left the fans clueless with why the opening batter is leaving the Hardik Pandya-led side after such a wonderful maiden IPL winning season and the bigger question on the fans mind was which team is he joining. Kolkata Knight Riders fans demanded the batter to make a comeback to his former IPL team. One KKR fan even wrote, “Homecoming to KKR, please.”

On the other hand, Kolkata Knight Riders have roped in Chandrakant Pandit as their head coach in place of Brendon McCullum, who has been recently appointed as the coach of England’s Test team.
