Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan shining in the 20 overs

Ever since the 2021 World Cup, India have played T20I series against New Zealand, West Indies and Sri Lanka, but there have been a lot of changes in the opening pair of the Indian side. With the likes of KL Rahul, Rohit Sharma, Ishan Kishan, Shikhar Dhawan all experimenting in different matches for the team.

However, the MI boys Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan have left an impact with the bat for themselves, Kishan has scored 315 runs in 8 matches at an average of nearly 40 while the Indian captain has smashed 268 in 8 games at an average of 33.5

A positive sign for the Indian batting line up as a left and right hand combination can do wonders for the team. Ahead of the T20I series against Ireland, Asia Cup and the 2022 T20 World Cup, a successful opening pair is very important for the foundation of India’s batting.

Rohit Sharma has been rested for the ongoing SA series, but Kishan made a 48 ball 76 and 34 in the first and second T20s respectively.
