Reguilon starts his journey with Atletico Madrid?

Spanish star Reguilon has been fully assured that there is no place for him to survive in the West London club, Tottenham Hotspur anymore. Boss Antonio Conte is clear that he does not want the the player on his side anymore.

With this, a lot of Premier League clubs have shown their interest in signing the Spain international, the club also includes Nottingham Forest.

Although, according to reports, it seems like Atletico Madrid have taken the liberty of getting Reguilon on board, it looks like they have beaten Forest and the Italian club Lazio.

Moreover, the Spanish club are ready to make space for the 25 year old by shifting Renan Lodi to join Forest. The defender was fruitful for Sevilla just before joining the Spurs in the summer 2020 transfer window. Furthermore, Real Madrid were wanting to get the Spanish back because of his outstanding form.

It’s also a bit surprising that Spurs are not looking to sell, given Conte’s stance on the player. Furthermore, at this stage, it looks like Reguilon will head back to Spain and then go back to square one when pre-season starts again next summer.

Although, the Spanish giant will have an advantage and that is to benefit from more game time ahead of the FIFA World Cup later this year.
