Oli McBurnie set to visit the Nottinghamshire Police; accused of stamping a fan at City Ground

After an invasion in the Tuesday night’s play – off semi final, Oli McBurnie had stamped a Nottingham Forest fan. The fans invaded the pitch following a penalty shootout win over Sheffield United at the City Ground, with Nottinghamshire Police already arresting a man after United striker Billy Sharp was knocked to the ground and hurt.

The Scottish player did not play in the match, as he has been ruled out since April following a foot injury. However, neither Sheffield United or Nottingham Forest have commented on the incident.

A video of him wearing a surgical boot, kicking out at a fan who was lying on the ground during the ugly scenes. Although, it is unclear whether the kick had made contact, or what happened before and after the footage.

The video was shown on Sky Sports on Wednesday evening. Now, an FA investigation is now under way.
