Manchester City calling on Kalvin Phillips?

EPL club Manchester City have agreed a deal with Leeds to sign midfielder Kalvin Phillips for an amount of 45 m to 50 m pounds. The Englishman is getting closer to bid adieu to the boyhood club, where he came through the academy and flourished under the then club boss Marcelo Bielsa.

Although the deal is still yet to be sealed officially, Phillips still needs to agree to some personal terms and also clear up medical formalities.

A report close to Sky Sports has said, Phillips wouldn’t have joined any other club other than Manchester City. After the departure of Fernandinho at City, the joining of Kalvin Phillips will be essential for Pep Guardiola and his boys.

“It’s a phenomenal deal for someone that has come through the academy, it’s been nothing short of an incredible rise.”

“It’s a great deal for City, especially with Fernandinho leaving. They are replacing a living legend with another potential legend. I think it’s a brilliant deal from City’s perspective” said the Former Leeds striker Jermaine Beckford to Sky Sports News.
