IPL 2022: Playoffs possibilities

With the win against the Mumbai Indians, the chances of KKR for making the playoffs have been boosted up, although the possibility is still quite low. Only 14 matches to go for this edition, there are about more than 16,000 possible combinations of results.

With the loss against KKR, the five time champs can only manage to claim the seventh position by winning all their remaining matches, CSK, on the other hand, also have low qualifying scope.

The Punjab Kings have a 25% chance of the playoffs, but they need to win their remaining matches with good NRR. RCB will most likely finish in the top four and the worst they can do is go at the sixth position, same is the situation with the inaugural champions RR.

The new franchises GT and LSG will certainly go in the top four slots and the worst will be a tie on the fourth spot.

According to the current scenario Gujarat Titans, Lucknow Super Giants, Rajasthan Royals and Royal Challengers Bangalore will be the top four teams, SRH, PBKS and DC will have to pull off a miracle of performances to make a place in the qualifiers.

For match no. 57, the top two teams of the table go head to head, the Gujarat Titans will take on Lucknow Super Giants at the MCA Stadium in Pune.
