India’s squad for T20 World Cup 2022

After an Asia Cup full of ups and downs, and some positives looking back throughout the whole tournament, the Indian cricket team is all eyes on the upcoming T20 World Cup in Australia, starting from October.

Though not playing the best of cricket and a majority of players being ruled out and some not included in the Asia Cup, the BCCI has got more or less a rough idea of what will be the Playing 11 in the World Cup.

The squad has been announced, players like Harshal Patel and Jasprit Bumrah make a comeback to the squad. Moreover, experienced bowler Mohammed Shami has been named as a reserve, Shami was sidelined from the T20 squad after the end of 2021 T20 World Cup.

Both Bumrah and Harshal were going through intense rehabilitation at the NCA and now the BCCI medical team has given a green light for them to make on field appearances.

India takes on Pakistan for their first match on October 23 at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.

Rohit Sharma (Captain), KL Rahul (vice-captain), Virat Kohli, Suryakumar Yadav, Deepak Hooda, Rishabh Pant (wicket keeper), Dinesh Karthik (wicket keeper), Hardik Pandya, Ravichandran Ashwin, Yuzvendra Chahal, Axar Patel, Jasprit Bumrah, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Harshal Patel, Arshdeep Singh.
