Barcelona captain Alexia Putellas has been named the UEFA Women’s Champions League best player for 2021 – 22. Putellas grabbed the tag after taking Barcelona to the glory of the 2021 – 22 season, and was equally impressive in the club’s latest campaign as they reached a successive final.
Putellas finished this season’s competition as top scorer with 11 goals to her name, including the final, two assists were also recorded to her name which makes a 13 goal involvements, which is more than anyone.
With another spectacular performance of 30 goals in all competitions for Barca, she will be once again a contender for the Ballon d’Or Feminin later this year, she won it the previous time in 2021 which also her first in that category.
