Why Joe Biden is being Compared to Hitler? Here is why

Following a speech Joe Biden gave on Thursday, he was chastised and compared to Nazi Germany’s Adolf Hitler. Biden attacked former President Donald Trump and his Make America Great Again (MAGA) supporters during his speech at Independence Hall in Philadelphia. Biden stated that both posed an ongoing threat to America and the country’s future.

Despite his criticism of the former president, Biden stated that he did not believe Republicans in general, or the majority of Republicans, posed a threat. “Donald Trump and the MAGA Republicans represent an extremism that threatens our republic’s very foundations,” he said.

“I want to be very clear, very clear upfront. Not every Republican, not even a majority of Republicans, are MAGA Republicans. Not every Republican embraces their extreme ideology. “I know because I’ve been able to work with these mainstream Republicans. But there’s no question that the Republican Party today is dominated, driven, and intimidated by Donald Trump and the MAGA Republicans. And that is a threat to this country.”

Trump supporters used social media to make Hitler and Biden comparisons.

Georgia Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene shared a doctored viral video of Biden with swastikas. Biden’s face had also been altered to resemble Hitler’s iconic mustache.

A few seconds of the Nazi dictator’s speech were also played over Biden’s words. “What we all saw from Biden tonight,” Greene said as she shared the video.

Conservative radio host Erick Erickson tweeted, “President declares half of the country a threat to democracy.” “He’s flanked by Marines, with German red lighting from the mid-1930s behind him. CNN and MSNBC commentators adore it. Fascism is a relative term.”

Some social media users speculated that Biden’s appearance during the speech contributed to the “Dark Brandon” meme.

The meme gained traction earlier this year and has proven popular among conservatives, frequently depicting a malevolent-looking Biden, occasionally with lasers for eyes. Some commentators believe the president is now playing into this meme.
