Libya on Monday also has joined the list of the Islamic nations that criticized the Bharatiya Janata Party’s spokesperson Nupur Sharma’s comment on Prophet Mohammad.
The Islam community has expressed it as an insult to their Prophet. Consequently, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MoFAIC) stated the need to respect religion and not violate them. Also, it has stated the importance of spreading the values of tolerance and harmony.
However, the BJP has suspended Nupur Sharma and Naveen Kumar Jindal after the controversial comment against Prophet.
Now, the list of the countries that criticize Nupur Sharma has been raised which includes countries like Libya UAE, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Afghanistan and other Muslim nations.
Despite the protests by Muslim groups in the country, the BJP party also issued a statement expressing the concerns of minorities. It has also been said that the party respects all religions and denounced the comment made by Sharma.
