PM Modi has directed government departments and ministries to hire tens of thousands of workers over the next 1.5 years

According to the PMO, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has asked several government departments and ministries to recruit 10 lakh individuals in a “mission mode” during the next year and a half.

According to PM Modi’s office, the directive came after a review of the state of human resources in all government agencies and ministries.

The government’s decision comes in the wake of repeated criticism from the opposition on the subject of unemployment. A considerable number of empty positions in various government sectors have frequently been highlighted.

“Prime Minister Narendra Modi assessed the state of human resources in all departments and ministries and directed that the government recruit 10 lakh employees in mission mode over the next 1.5 years,” the PMO said in a tweet.

The cabinet secretary had written to the secretaries, requesting that they act quickly on the prime minister’s recommendation.
