Kuwait will remove Expats over protest against Prophet remark

The instructions mentioned that, all expats are expected to respect Kuwait laws and regulations and to not take part in any demonstration.

However, Kuwait will deport expats who have participated in demonstration against the remark of suspended BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharma on Prophet Muhammad, reports ANI news.

The protesters violated the country’s law and hence the country decided to transport Expats, says the reports.

Additionally, the authorities are also arresting expats and referring them to the deportation centre to be deported to their countries, according to the Arab Times.

However, the nationality of expats are not mentioned in the reports.

The comment on Prophet Muhammad by BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharma have triggered dozens of Islamic people all over the world.

Many people have shown their aggression on her comment and even online protests are ongoing.

However, India has taken down remarks on Twitter which are against the minorities.

The spokesperson of the Embassy of India in Kuwait responded to the exportation decision,’Ambassador Sibi George had a meeting in the Foreign Office in which concerns were raised with regard to some offensive tweets by individuals in India’.

Strict actions are already taken on people who make derogatory comments.

Moreover, even the statement was released which appealed to all religions.

The leading party has suspended their spokesperson Nupur Sharma and also expelled their Delhi media head Naveen Kumar Jindal for their remarks.

Whereas, the spokesperson said, ‘Ambassador conveyed that the tweets do not, in any manner, reflect the views of the Government of India.’

‘These are the views of fringe elements in line with our civilizational heritage and strong cultural traditions of unity in diversity, the Government of India accords the highest respect to all religions’, the spokesperson added.
