Norway’s largest airline Norwegian Air has decided to buy the almost 50 of the Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft. It has also secured the options for its further 30 of the planes at a price yet to be disclosed. Consequently, this decision has made to end a contract conflict between two firms.
Consequently, for the Norway’s Norwegian airline, this deal will mark a return to aircraft ownership. Because it was forced to retreat and hire out it deals during debt proceedings from which the company got rescued last year.
The 50 aircraft are said to be delivered between the year 2025 and 2028, at a confidential price. Consequently, this year is scheduled because of the current aircraft lease which then will be expired.
However, the deal includes the compensation to Norwegian airlines as a settlement for previous conflicts. The conflicts were over the MAX and theDreamliner aircraft deliveries and issues which made profit of 2 billion Norwegian crowns.
